The short answer to your question is to divide your tasks into three categories: Habits - Things you want to do every day that can be done multiple times a day (e.g. Drink Water) Dailies - Things you want to do every day that you'll only do once (e.g. Morning Walk) Dailies are actions that are required of you every x number of days or on certain days of the week (wash dishes, water plants, pick up kids from school, etc.). There are two important differences between habits and dailies. Daily can be checked off only once a day, whereas habit can be clicked many time the same day.Set the daily to repeat weekly on only one day such as Sunday. Add checklist items for all the tasks. When you check off an item, it will stay checked from day to day. When the end of the week comes, you can check off the overall daily if you finished all the checklist items. You can do the same thing for a daily that repeats monthly …I don't need the gamification aspects. I would love some suggestions on alternatives that contain the features of Habitica I find most useful: Ability to create recurring tasks that automatically uncheck themselves the next day. I’m so annoyed I’ve been trying to collect so much gold and was at almost 500 and then I lost it all just now because I guess I left my dailies too long or something and now I have zero. I’m so upset I had so many nice rewards I wanted to do but I guess I have to start all over ...Being able to semi-smoothly import tasks from other apps would also be hugely appealing, since part of what keeps me locked into Habitica is that my system is already there. In terms of game mechanics- just releasing new content regularly would be fantastic, I really enjoyed back when I hadn't done all of the quests, and I loved the world ... ….
