The device doesn’t support a wired connection only wireless. I have tried that which took some of the pods offline. I’m on the 1Gbps tier, wired I’m good but wireless is very slow. The pods connect wirelessly to the Gateway and won’t activate if one is connected directly., The xFi Pods have been updated. These are the ones with 2 built-in Ethernet ports. They are much bigger, I bought 2 of them. The original xFi pods which come as a set of 3 or 6 may have had these issues, but these issues have been largely resolved., It is possible that the problem is coming from the Xfinity Gateway instead. If you notice that your Xfinity Pods keep going offline or they are not connecting, check your connection to the Gateway. If you cannot connect to the Gateway, it may be time for a reboot. Before you reboot your gateway, it is best if you unplug all of your Pods first.
