After 1400+ hours in Zomboid, my method to healing wounds is to put a bandage on it and remove it later when I remember it's even there. If it's still wounded, I just put a new bandage on infection or not. If you get a normal infection just make sure you serilize the wound and keep your bandages clean. Then it will heal.
