Please read and understand the rules in ...Ubiquiti doesn't make any APs with an internal directional antenna. They have a single model that accepts external antennas, the UAP-AC-M. There is a single "official" directional antenna for it, that IIRC is 120 degress for 2.4GHz and 90 degrees for 5GHz. There isn't anything preventing you from acquiring a third-party antenna to use with that AP.First - Ubiquiti doesn't offer any 2.5GB class devices in their Unifi line. Either 10GbE/10Gb SFP+ or 1GbE. Also something to keep in mind, Cat6 is generally good for 10GbE up to a 180ft run. Now - if you were to connect to said 10GbE infrastructure using a 2.5GbE NIC you would get 2.5GbE - even past the 180ft mark.

Basically ubiquiti manual/support says that resetting the unit (amplifi hd) would revert it to "out of box" status, however they did sell some of these ubiquiti hd cubes with a teleport together. You need a separate SSID for your guests.One such example is UniFi's default 40 MHz channel width. Most consumer gears I believe comes in 80 MHz setting. This alone is already 2x throughput difference. However, UniFi AP users are more likely to have multiple APs, and therefore, they maybe at a risk of own interference when improperly deployed. So 40 MHz on 5 GHz radio reduce that risk ...This is coming from someone who LOVES their Wireless backhaul and P2P stuff, and Wifi. They just can't and probably will never produce a good enterprise firewall. The three solutions we use the most are, Sophos XG, Sonicwall and PFSense. Really comes down to application, price and best fit.
