The only windshield replacement available is the Tesla OEM glass, which is made by Saint-Gobain Sekurit. Safelite would just order the glass from Tesla. The main factor for me would be who you trust more to remove all the trim around the windshield and reinstall it correctly and without damage.

It worked fine with auto wipers and all that (Not a CX-5) but the shaded area of dots didn't match OEM. This may sound minor, but that area is made to block sunlight, and lines up with the sunvisors in size and coverage. The safelite windshield had a much smaller area, that didn't line up with the visors.
Thinking of getting it repaired and safelite is quoting me $150, which isn't terrible assuming they can make it look like new again. But I'm skeptical if it will get rid of the visual distortion caused by the ding. Anyone have experience with it?
