Focus on Magic Focus on leveling up Magic as it scales the most with Switchglaive. It's unreal to me how much Nioh 2 improved on Nioh 1. The story tension definitely picked up during "Dawn". The attack bonus (stam A+) did 8342. So I was definitely getting more with the attack bonus (stat). Definitely keeping that stat on my weapon. I will try this out again once I get weapons to +99 to see if there is any difference. I guess maybe if I get a stark skill with active skill damage, then maybe it will be better.

Splitstaff is, imo, top tier when it comes to dealing with youkai, because it shreds their ki. The protection is pretty amazing in heavy yokai missions. You can also use those yokai urns to help buildup your shield. Also refreshes your Protection Talisman (sorta, its just your bonus “temp hp”). Fantastic for really light builds with high Constitution. Uesugi also has the coop bonus when randomly visiting which is pretty fantastic.
